I had a heartbreaking conversation with my five year old daughter: she told me that sometimes she looks in the mirror and wishes she had a different and more beautiful face. It inspired me to make this piece with the message “You Are Enough”. For the full story, see my instagram post about it.

Hanging Instructions
Most lasercut art ships with 3m Command Picture Hanging Strips along with instructions. For more intricate pieces in which the Command strips won’t work, the art can be hung by well-placed nails (usually 1 or 2) in the cutout areas of the artwork.
Creative Process

Sketch
Every piece of art begins as a sketch, exploring different layouts and styles. These days I do most of my sketches on an iPad in Procreate.

Final Art
The final vector artwork is drafted point by point in Adobe Illustrator. I love getting lost in the details and spending hours perfecting curves.

Lasercut!
I first choose the material I’m going to cut or engrave from my library of acrylic and mirror panels, wood, leather, paper, or felt. Then I upload my art, align it, and press the magic blue button!
I Love Lasercutting!
All of my lasercut art is designed and prototyped in my Downtown Oakland studio. I produce small runs and one-offs in my workshop, playing with different sizes and materials. When creating a larger edition of lasercut pieces, I partner with the design-minded folks at Big Secret, a lasercutting shop in Richmond, Virginia.
